During my time of unemployment, I have learned a few things about myself and somethings that I would like to teach my children.
The most recent self realization is that I really have no hobbies outside of sports. Now I guess sports does count as a hobby, but other that that I really have no other interests. I have been a workaholic my whole life that I have forgotten to develop other interests. In my life it's always been school or work or volunteering or sports.
I would ultimately like to start my own business. However, most people I know who have started their own business turned their hobby into something that can profit off of.
One thing I will make sure my kids have is an interest outside of work or school.

The Positive Way to Look at Life
I figured out a way to think more positively during all my trials and tribulations. I'm going to write down all my fear, find the inverse of that, and focus on that instead.
For example:
I'm afraid of being an unemployed loser----------> I want to contribute to society in a job that I love
The spectrum of things we DON'T want is so large, but the things you DO want is exact. Focusing on what you do want will help hopefully help you feel more positive and have something to work towards.
